“I Was Fortunate Enough To Be Able To Work On The First Ten Years Of Disneyland’S History And Being A Huge Walt Disney Fan, What Better Decade To Have! It Turned Out To Be One Of The Most Challenging Projects I Have Ever Tackled In My 23 Year Career At Disney. Having Such Strong Affinity For All The Early Disneyland Attractions, I Knew I Couldn’T Include Everything So I Reluctantly Had To Remove Some “Gone, But Not Forgotten” Attractions. I Also Decided To Stylize My Painting To Mimic The Wonderful Art Seen In The Golden Books From The 1950 And 60’S. Being A Character Artist, I Wanted To Include A Retro Looking Mickey And Minnie, Dressed To Reflect The Era.”
